This book was good, even though it had taken me awhile to finish it. Lol. In book 3 for Lexi and Luke birthday omg that part me has done for, I couldn't stop laughing especially the part where they said what Lexi had done. And for Raven, I can't seem to hate him even if he does the most stupidest things. In the end, everything turns out good. Can't wait to read part 4. He better not do anything stupid in that one. Lexi has been through enough.

I feel like I read a different book than everyone else... This was not the amazing lovestory I thought it would be and it definitely wasn't as fulfilling as all the reviews made it out to be. If you are going to fill your novels with angst, heartbreak, and emotional issues, at least allow the readers to see growth in the characters before ending it all.

The scenes were going from showing to telling quickly with little to no transition. It was choppy and repetitive. And I found some things that just didn’t jive with the plot. It’s too bad. I really wanted to add this to my list of series finales for the year.

Raven had a lot of issues, issues that I could never even imagine someone having to deal with and live through. He pulled at my heart strings when he admitted the real reasons behind his actions. It's impossible not to love a man as beautiful and vulnerable as Raven and C.M. gave us everything. I felt all of his anger, pain, and frustration which made the book resonate with me even more. I was glad that she stood up for herself and decided to own her choices and the outcomes. I was worried that Lexi would continue to let her mom railroad her into doing things that she didn't want to do. Oh and the scene with Collin...*SIGH*...he almost had me going to team Collin instead of team Raven with his little speech. But alas, The Raven's Trap is strong but I was happy with Collin and Lexi and how things wrapped up for them. But at the end of it all I LOVED IT!! Absolutely stoked that Lexi and Raven were able to work through all of the heartache, they definitely deserved it. I didn't want it to end but I was soooo happy to see Raven overcome all of his demons and give Lexi the life she deserved.

Those 2 stars are me being generous. I think Ive read a completely different story than everybody else. First off the relationship between Lexi and Raven is just all kinds of wrong. They never talk through their problems and everything is just okay without ever talking about it. I rolled my eyes so much during the book cause of lines like "I prayed that everything would turn out just fine" in situations where it´s clearly up to the character to get his shit together and do something about it and not just praying that the situation would change. Also Raven´s character just irked me out. There was something about him that just doesn´t sit right with me, I just can´t put my finger on it. Morever the whole ending was just so wrong. I can´t get into it without spoiling the story but no this just teaches a completly wrong way of how relationships should be. Okay my rant is over now.

I almost gave this one four stars, I wanted to give it five because the previous novels were so wonderful and I always cheer for the home team since I'm the DFW area. I just couldn't do it. How many times does he get to knock her for an emotional K.O. before she knees him in the boy parts? So, the three stars is mostly for the writing skill rather than the characters because by the end I was just glad to have them done with my life, like a pair of needy friends that never seem to get their stuff together.

The love between the main characters is true passion, a love that we all dream about. Lexi goes through so much heart ache, but knows that her life will never be the same without Raven. The struggles that Lexi and Raven go through is a roller coaster of emotions that will have you laughing and crying. I felt like Lexi's feelings were my own. If she cried, I cried. If she got angry, I threw my kindle. This story was amazing from the beginning to the end. The winning side is the 3rd book of the university series. Lexi and Ravens love gets stronger and more complicated.while raven battles his inner demons and Lexi stands on the side lines and try's her best to help him through it. After reading this book I cried like a baby and screamed from happiness. I give this book and author 10 stars plus more! I fell in the raven trap too!

The Winning Side - where to start? I am trying to remain calm, not to rant and rave, I have so much I need to say about this book but I am going to keep it short and sweet. I apologise in advance, I am not going to give too much away as I believe this is the best book of the series! Firstly Lexi is fantastic and such a strong female character, the crap she puts up with from weak people in her life - OMG She has this energy that draws people to help her and I loved how even Raven's friends stepped The Winning Side - where to start? Firstly Lexi is fantastic and such a strong female character, the crap she puts up with from weak people in her life - OMG She has this energy that draws people to help her and I loved how even Raven's friends stepped up and carried her burden after spring break and towards the end of the book. Secondly Raven, he needs to get help, stop using what happened to his mother as his crutch, she is a strong mum, Raven needs to be a man, own and make the right choices and stop making Lexi pay for it in drama and emotional crap. What transpired after spring break, she is one strong lady for sure. He needs to grow a pair and say no to his football friends. He needs to stop sulking off to a corner and running away from shit in his life, I was so angry after his final meeting with the school board. Thirdly one of the most significant moments I loved in the book was when Colin and Lexi met up. I was dumbfounded and really sad for what they lost, I think Colin would be a wonderful boyfriend, husband and father if you were the person he loved. I so would read a book about him as a person as I think it would be pretty heartfelt. Fourth, Lexi's mum and dad, swear to god I love them all the way to the moon and back in book 3, her dad is like a super hero of epic proportions and her mum who I hated in book 2, I now love and have forgiveness for. Lastly and again, Lexi the amazing young woman she is, how strong is she to stand up and fight for what she wants in life and unfortunately for me it is Raven. I admit I did not like the ending in the front garden, I wanted Raven to crawl on his hands and knees and beg for her to let him back into her life. The end of the book was wonderful when we did get to see all the characters 12 months on and how their lives had turned out, great way to see this series to an end. I see there is a book coming out for Raven so we can read his POV. I would really love to see a book on Colin or Delaney and Luke.

Lexi's world crumbled when she learned about Raven's near-death mishap on New Year's eve. Against her family's wishes, she went to Raven's side and stayed with him until he regained consciousness. Another whirlpool of emotions tried to escape from my chest after reading The Winning Side. C.M. Doporto never fails to amaze and impress me. They say, third time's a charm, and boy, what a charming story this Book 3 has been! Again and again, I was caught in the Raven's trap and I'm not gonna get tired saying it. And I'm not gonna make any moves to get away from it. Now, I really crave for Book 4, Different Sides, which is all about Raven's perspective. Somehow, I just know that their story is one for the books and I could never get tired of rooting for them. Raven and Lexi are captivatingly perfect!

What a rollercoaster ending to the series. I enjoyed it even though Lexi and Raven are both immature in many ways. Being a mom, I wanted to slap them more than a few times. I was silently screaming 'STOP DRINKING AND STUDY'. They both made so many stupid mistakes, and I found myself siding with their parents more than I would have liked. It's what makes them more than characters; Real people make stupid mistakes. I know I did some dumb things when I first started dating my now husband at 17 . I'm looking forward to reading the story from Raven's point of view in her new book 'A Different Side'. 4/5

First and foremost I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for letting me read your book CM Doporto. Wow. ok so this one had me go through all of the emotions. I was disappointed in the series period. I felt like she did more begging and groveling than anything. Oh I'm stuck in the this Ravens Trap, he is so beautiful, blah, blah, blah. He screwed up so many times. Who asks you to marry him, but leaves you by leaving town without a word. I really didn't enjoy this one.

He’s never there for his TWIN sister and just “stays out of everything “rather then defend her. THIRD, her mom.... I swear every new adult book I’ve read lately has an over the top crazy controlling mom and I’m just over it . She actually burns her adult daughters Victoria’s Secret underwear etc. and takes away her phone , computer and iPad... she’s 20 years old wtf?!?! Then Raven, sure he’s great when he’s happy and everything is going good. The minute it’s not he makes stupid decisions, does drugs gets drunk and hooks up with other girls ( when he is still with Lexi). But guess what?!? Every time she takes him back, she never gets mad and is constantly telling him she loves him no matter what blah blah blah. Why would he ever stop his behavior if he knew she’d take him back every single time??? This book ( especially the ending ) just pissed me off. Raven has a shit fit and leaves Lexi , like packs up and moves to another state without even a text goodbye because he got kicked out of college. In the meantime she finds out she’s pregnant and after 2 months of no communication SHE flies to New Orleans to tell him she’s pregnant.. with his twins... he says “fuck” and then tells her to fuck off when she she mentions her wanting her kids to know their dad unlike he did. She finally has some sense and leaves in a taxi after yelling at him ( just a little but though). Not two minutes later she tells the taxi to turn around and she runs back to his house. Of course he’s the perfect Raven again promising to do everything right blah blah blah . She’s just a pushover and he’s a dick. Rant over.

Good book, FINALLY finishes this book dang, took me so long to complete it I mean to finish it. It kind of sucks when you're a multitasker and can read more than one book at the same time and including your school books and don't get confused. And Raven had me in my feelings in this book especially how he did Lexi, and her being prego with his twins, had me wanting to through the book and smack his ahh fo real lol. Had me in my feelings but I am still team raven though.

I started reading The Winning Side before any of the other books and I was so frustrated halfway through that I had to go back and read book 2 to get the backstory. This book picks up right after book 2 ends continuing Lexi and Raven’s story. Like most books, there are things that I like and some things that make me want to pull my hair out. In my opinion this is a true young adult book. The story is one that most older high school and/or college age students can relate to. The characters act like many of the students that I encounter daily at the college level. The sex is implied but there aren’t explicit sex scenes that I wouldn’t want my older high schooler to read. What I like: I like that the story realistically portrays college age students. They act stupid and don’t learn from their mistakes quickly. Lexi is a sheltered child trying to break from her domineering parents. She is protected and ruled by her parents to the extreme through the two previous books. She finally takes a stand in this book and starts to live her own life. The male characters in this series are jocks. They enjoy all the adoration that is bestowed on jocks. This has its pros and cons and I feel it is realistically portrayed in the book. Raven is a star football player who constantly makes bad choices. The bad choices impact not only his relationship with Lexi but also his future. I like the support characters. They are realistic and I actually feel a closer attachment to Delaney than Lexi in parts of the book. The ancillary characters support Lexi and Raven emotionally. I like that the story doesn't have the girls on one side and the boys on the other. The support characters try to assist both of these young people. I love the ending. It is very well done. What I didn’t like: As much as I like Raven I want to slap him and give him a lecture. The way he often makes Lexi suffer for his mistakes is frustrating. I get that he is young but how many times does he have to love, mess up, repent then repeat. For me it takes a little too long for him to see the light. Lexi’s family drove me nuts. Her dad finally grows a pair but even her brother Luke disappointed me. I get that Lexi’s ex is his best friend but they are twins. We have a number of twins in my family and, come hell or high water, they stick together, even the fraternal twins. I get that their mother put a lot of pressure on Luke but he rubbed me wrong. Lexi’s mother—all I can say is YUCK! Let me say that even the things I didn’t like move the story along. They show a side of college life that many young people have to learn to live with. We see that there are many choices that we make when we are young that impact how our life will turn out. As my mother often told me, think about your choices because everything you do will have consequences; some will be good and some will be bad. This is a good book especially for young adults. I think young people will relate to the story more than the over thirty crowd. It is a fast read; some parts are predictable but even the predictable is written realistically. **** I was given and ARC for an honest review.

In the Winning Side the story for Lexi and Raven comes to an end and you finally find out what happens to their destructive relationship. In C.M. Doporto's final installment of the University park series you can't help but feel sad for the things that happen to Lexi in the book. It's like you are on one a roller coaster, but you just happened to eat a big meal right before getting on the ride and now your stomach is flip-flopping between wanting to lose your lunch, and the pure euphoria the amusement rides put you in. But in the case of the Winning Side, it's actual your heart and you go from hating Raven, to rooting for Lexi, to loving Raven again. (It really is a trap, Raven puts you in.) I don't like giving spoilers . . . so I won't. But I really enjoyed reading this book because it not only draws you in but makes you feel for the characters as well. I found myself rooting for the underdog, Lexi's ex Collin that she broke up with because she fell for Raven so hard, and he treated her like dirt. After awhile though Raven grew on me, and despite his broken past, I was right there with Lexi wanting to piece him back together again. C.M. does a fantastic job creating a unique relationship between her characters that has you cheering from the sidelines for that perfect ending. (Which, depending on what you want for the characters, actually comes true.) This book is for anyone who likes a good romance:The ups and downs, the drama, the naive girl experiencing what love really is, the man that is so perfect something has to be wrong with him, the man that is so perfect and has something wrong with him, the relationship that has so many obstacles to overcome that it might just break apart altogether, and the love story that has you guessing all the way through. Then this book is truly for you. I really enjoyed reading the University Park series and can't wait for the next installment A Different Side. Told from Raven's point of view. Thank you C.M. for giving me the honor to read your books as ARC's because I don't know long I could have kept waiting to find out what happens to Lexi and Raven.

I loved how the characters matured from the first book, especially how determined and independent Lexi grew. I started it when I woke and never put it down. It had me hooked. Its definitely my favourite out of the three books. I am absolutely in “RAVENS TRAP” !!!!!! I loved how it was written, made me fall in love with all the characters. After the incident, Raven and Lexi have a long road ahead of themselves. Lexi is willing to  stand by him, fight his demons and help him retain his career even though time and again Raven runs in the opposite direction feeling unworthy of her love and affection. “ With every decision, there are consequences — good or bad. I could only hope that Raven’s consequences would tilt to the favorable side.” Will Lexi be able to TRUST him this time? Will the bad circumstances always keep them apart? Will Raven let her in? Will they emerge on The Winning Side? I loved loved all the side characters (Luke, Delaney, Shelby, Josh, Shawn and Kyle) and I wish we get their stories too. It was happy, sad, funny at times, there was so much love and passion; It had me SWOONING !!!! I wanted more of this book and it ended too soon for me, but I am so excited to read Raven’s POV in next one (A DIFFERENT SIDE) Grab your copy of this amazing book by clicking on the link below http://goo.gl/KNMmOI 5 QUARTERBACK STARS !!!!!!

This is the third book to this series and the conclusion to Lexi and Raven's story. I first started reading this series earlier this year and I really enjoyed reading them all and connecting with all the characters. This is a must read series and this book is something I believe everyone should read! It's pretty amazing! Lexi is an honest, trustworthy, and a brave person. I first started reading this series earlier this year and I really enjoyed reading them all and connecting with all the characters. This is a must read series and this book is something I believe everyone should read! It's pretty amazing! Lexi is an honest, trustworthy, and a brave person. When she makes a promise, she sticks to it. So when she promised Raven that she would always be there for him and help him in his time of need, she did. Lexi will face challenges with Raven in this book. Challenges she never though imaginable and with the help of her friends, she hopes she can keep Raven on the right track and keep himself from self-destruction. But sometimes loving someone isn't enough, especially if that person doesn't want to be saved. Can Lexi save Raven from himself? Most importantly, will Raven realize his life means something and let Lexi in, fully? Although I loved all three books in the series, this book wasn't my all time favorite. That would always be book two. But, there's many things I loved about this book: Lexi's desire to never give up, her love for Raven, and of course, learning more about the mysterious and damaged man that is Raven. I'm still a huge fan of Raven, but I'm seriously disappointed in this character in this book. He didn't act like the hero I always saw him as, and that bothered me a little. But then again, I love how Lexi became the heroine to save him in this book, even if I think he should have done more groveling to win her back after he acted like such a child! This book is amazing because we see Raven's transformation from the cocky jock, to the scared adult, to the man Lexi needed from day one. I might think he let me down in this book, but I'll always love Raven because he holds a special place in my heart. He, although acted foolish and irresponsible, grew up before my eyes and that was amazing to witness. All-in-all, this book was amazing and I want to thank the author for writing such an outstanding series! Lexi and Raven will always hold a special place in my heart and I can't wait to read more! I highly recommend this book to everyone! My favorite quote: "...all I know is that together we will stand tall, but apart we will fall."

4 1/2 stars! The Winning Side was definitely my favorite out of this series. The hardship, the tears, the happiness, the laughs, everything about this book made it magical and easy to fall in love with. The Winning Side picks up right where The Same Side ends, and Raven and Lexi have an uphill battle to go through. Raven is dealing with what happened that night that he ended up in the hospital, Lexi is dealing with trying to figure out what went wrong, and if Raven still loves her, and they are dealing with the consequences of Raven's actions on the football team and at school. Things definitely don't go well for these two. The things Raven has to deal with horrible, but at the same time, he brought a lot of it on himself and now it's time to pay up. Once Raven realizes he needs to be better, things are amazing between the two of them. I loved seeing Raven change in this book and be the man that Lexi deserved. Things are great for them, and then something happens and it tears them apart. Watching Lexi go through this was heartbreaking and my heart really hurt for her. Thing keep getting worse and I didn't have a clue if these two would ever find their way back to one another. She was lucky and had the support of Shawn, Josh, Shelby, Luke, and Delaney to help her through it, and I loved how her friends really rallied around her and worked on helping her through everything she has been through. I loved watching Lexi work on the relationship with her father, and the rest of her family. As much as I despised her mother, towards the end of this book, she really ended up growing on me. This book is full of passion, laughs, and a ton of heartache. I would go from a happy high, to wanting to curl up under my blankets and cry for these characters. The Winning side is a perfect ending to this series and I loved how Raven and Lexi's story ended. We got closure on things that have happened throughout the previous books, and got the ending I know I wanted. I will definitely be picking up more books by C.M. Doporto and as much as it sucks to say goodbye to these characters, I truly enjoyed this series and recommend it to everyone!

The Winning Side by CM Doporto is the third book in the University Park Series and picks up right after Raven has blown it at a party and finds himself hospitalized and in hot water. Lexi has found herself once again sucked into “The Raven’s Trap”, only this time Raven is also in his own trap and drowning. His future is in the hands of the coach and University and their willingness to give him another shot, trusting that he can make better choices in the future. His future is in the hands of the coach and University and their willingness to give him another shot, trusting that he can make better choices in the future. As Raven and Lexi try to rebuild what they once had, they are both on thin ice with a lot of pressure to do the right thing, stay out of trouble, and not let the past repeat itself. There’s also the ongoing battle Lexi is having with her family. There is a honeymoon period where they fall into a safe routine, love each other and enjoy the company of their friends, but this is the calm before the storm. After months with no upheaval, once again one poor decision during one night of weakness against Lexi’s better judgement, sends them into a tailspin where history begins to repeat itself. Can they weather this storm better than they have in the past? Can they have a different outcome where Raven doesn’t run away again? Where Lexi isn’t left broken hearted and picking up the pieces or will this be the final test they can’t pass? The end of their love story that proves to be too much for both of them? As the reader, I found myself wanting to slap some sense into Lexi and wondering why she was written a little childlike, as a girl who was a love-sick fool that thought she had to settle, and had to continuously chase Raven. I found myself frustrated that it seemed like a waste of what could be a brilliant character, but in true form CM Doporto did not let me down. As the story progressed you saw that it was necessary in order to achieve the end result of who Lexi became, how she matured, and that when it really mattered she was capable of being a strong, independent, amazing woman, no matter how their love story ended. I can’t wait for “A Different Side” from Raven’s point of view and “My Lucky Catch” Luke and Delaney’s story.

Raven, Raven, Raven I am forever in your trap. I received The Winning Side last night and didn’t finish until four a.m. I could not put it down; I was completely consumed in the love story of Raven and Lexi. The Winning Side is by far my favorite book of the University Park Series. CM Doporto you did a phenomenal job. The novel was beautifully written and left me a hot mess. The thing I loved most about this book was how Raven and Lexi connected on a completely different level than in the first Raven, Raven, Raven I am forever in your trap. The thing I loved most about this book was how Raven and Lexi connected on a completely different level than in the first two. It was intimate not only physically but also emotionally. Their connection ran all the way to their souls. They were each other’s opposite which made for the perfect balance. They knew when each other was upset, or when they need space, or when they just needed one another to make it through the day. There was really sweet moments shared between the two that made my heart flutter and put butterflies in my stomach, but you knew that Raven was always holding something back. I never doubted that he loved Lexi but he was constantly battling his inner demons every day which put a huge strain on their relationship, but Lexi never gave up on him even when he hurt her. I applaud her for that because she was strong for him when he was weak and always had his back. The Winning Side is a story of passion, love, loss, and realizing that you can’t do everything on your own; that you need the ones you love to help you battle everything that is trying to knock you down in this world. It will leave you laughing (a lot! So many funny moments), crying tears of happiness and sadness, and wishing it would never end! I LOVED it and can’t wait to read what you write next CM!!

Hmm. I feel like this book did not give the full committment that this series deserved. I definitely felt like Raven being a pansy the more the series went on while Lexi grew up into a smart, well-developed woman that she was capable of being. But I really think the ending (before the epilogue) should have been opposite. (view spoiler)[Raven should have came back to Lexi, not Lexi going to Raven to tell him the big news. I wanted him to come and prove that he was a changed man. Because when Lexi first came out of the taxi and he was so cold to her? Yeah, not a changed man. He only changed when Lexi told him what she wanted to tell him and to me that's just someone scared of losing out on a great future and wanting a part of it without having to work for it. And I was not okay with that ending one little bit! (hide spoiler)] Okay, now my rant is overwith in my spoiler. If you have read it and want to know my rant, please read. Otherwise, I would advise not. One other thing I have to make a comment about. As much as the author talks about Lexi being an editor (great profession, by the way, since I edit a little as well), there were quite a bit of typos in this novel out of all three books. I just thought it was a bit ironic, but I know accidents happen. Overall, this was a good series. Loved how some characters grew into great mature adults but some others still have to work a little harder to get to where they need to be.

The winning side. Cm Doporto University Park series book 3 Yet again I have been thoroughly trapped by the Raven these books are so well written you feel what they feel and it sucks you into their world. You are my beginning and I want you to be my end.” Raven Davenport- has had his share of mistakes a no matter how hard he works to deal with his demons they always come back to get him. Just when it looks like he can have it all it is yanked away. Except for Lexi she stands by thought it all even when he walks away… Lexi knows raven is all she wants and never backs down from that choice she made but, this time he left her a reason to fight for their future even when he thinks it’s over. Can Lexi show raven together they are…….. The winning side. “We all have faults and make mistakes. All I’m asking is to stop making bad choices and instead choose me.”

Get caught in the Raven’s trap all over again in this heart-stopping culmination to the University Park series. I laughed… I cried… I wanted to throw my kindle across the room then run to get it and cradle it close, as if I could make the world a much better place for Raven. I readily admit to having been caught in The Raven’s trap. There is just something about him and all his flaws. Does this mean that I didn’t wish Trish or even Grandma Mimi wouldn’t grab him by the ear and let him have it? I readily admit to having been caught in The Raven’s trap. There is just something about him and all his flaws. Does this mean that I didn’t wish Trish or even Grandma Mimi wouldn’t grab him by the ear and let him have it? Of course not. There were times when he could probably have used a little tough love. But this in no way lessens the hooks he’s got on me. There were times when I thought for sure Lexi would have had enough and called it quits for her own sanity. Thankfully that’s not the kind of person she is. We’ve watched Lexi struggle with her feelings for Raven, we’ve watched Raven struggle with his demons. Through it all, the common theme seems to be perseverance. You never give up on the one you love. CM Doporto, you have broken my heart over and over again. If I have one complaint it is that I was nowhere ready to say goodbye to Raven. I already know how you can make it up to me and every other woman caught in The Raven’s Trap… now we need Colin’s story.
